The Town of Ocean City has begun collecting Christmas trees. If you don’t know what to do with your Christmas tree as its shedding needles like mad, drop it off at the 100th Street Municipal Parking lot collection area. Through January 31st you may take Christmas trees, minus tinsel and ornaments, to the municipality. They will take discarded trees to the local landfill where they will be ground into mulch. Randy Davis, the horseman who typically provides horse and carriage rides in Berlin, MD, will be offering carriage rides through downtown Ocean City this weekend. Rides begin at the Inlet Parking Lot near Thrasher’s French Fries. The horses will take guests on a ride along the boardwalk and around the pier. The cost for carriage rides is $10, children under the age of 3 are free. Want to go for a ride? Meet the horses at the inlet on Saturday or Sunday between 11 am and 5 pm. Davis plans to give rides in OC until April 2013.

 

 

The Wicomico Youth & Civic center welcomes the Delmarva Bridal Showcase this Sunday, January 6th from noon until 4 pm. From diamonds and dresses to rehearsals and receptions, the Showcase is a one stop shop for all of your wedding needs. The event is sure to be every bride’s best resource for planning a Delmarva wedding. Fashion shows, honeymoon presentations, door prizes, and cake and catering sampling will take place.
