Abandoned Amusements: Photos of Jolly Rogers Amusement Park

Ocean City during the ‘off-season’ is really quite comparable to a ghost town. Only a few cars are seen cruising down Coastal Highway at any given time; all occupied by a lone local headed to or from work or home. The parking lots of Ocean City’s most notable hotels are deserted. The beach is cold; the water is a deep shade of grey and mimics the color of the winter’s sky.
When living in OC during the quiet winter months, it’s vital that you find beauty in a desolate community that was filled with color, life, and emotion just several weeks ago. It’s kind of poetic – just a little – trying to find emotion in lifeless objects.
